FAQ
Products.
Is GMX-CS a computer I can order? No. GMX-CS is a certified Generic Product. GMX-CS_2026A is a specific configuration of it that you can order.
Do I have to buy NEAT hardware to use your software? No. The protocol libraries and the Railway CAD Tools are independent of NEAT hardware, and most customers who buy them run something else.
Does GRIO include a safety protocol? No. GRIO-SW implements no safety protocol. You choose one suitable for safety-critical communication, PVS among them, and the custom I/O software manages it.
Is GRAIL available today? Its reference manual is at first issue and the commercial model is being settled. Ask us about the current status rather than relying on this page.
FAQ
Certification and licensing.
What certification evidence transfers to me?Platform evidence transfers with the certificate, under stated application conditions. Board-level evidence for your own hardware does not. The reference design page states this in detail.
Can I distribute PVS outside Italy?NEAT is authorised by RFI to distribute the protocol in Italy and abroad. What that means for a licensee in a given country is stated in the licence terms, and we will put it in writing before you ask.
Are the Railway CAD Tools qualified?T3 certification to EN 50128:2011 is foreseen on the product roadmap. The tool qualification page states the current status, the target and what is available meanwhile.
What remains my responsibility? The Generic Application and Specific Application, the safety case, site acceptance and approval, and the safety-related application conditions the platform exports.
